People from every walk of life, every age, every race, and every socioeconomic group can fall into the battle of addiction.
It may start with prescription pain killers, and evolve into a habit that has taken over your life, your marriage, your family and your job. Addiction may stem from an upbringing in a family where addiction was considered a normal part of everyday life. Like many at LABOR OF THE FIELD, substance abuse may have gotten its teeth in you during your rebellious teenage years, in spite of the fact that you had a strong family relationship, and you have not been able to get free of the hold it has on you. There is no fiercer battle than the battle to free yourself from the grip of addiction. Only Jesus can deliver, but LABOR OF THE FIELD can help. |
LABOR OF THE FIELD has people dedicated to lending a hand to those who are struggling against addiction to drugs, alcohol, pornography or any life-dominating hang-up. We accept drug addicts, alcoholics, those on parole or probation, sex offenders and sex addicts - anyone who is seeking a life-long relationship with Jesus and deliverance from their addictions.
Our program is state approved and has strict guidelines. We have 34 beds available and require the men to attend devotions morning, noon & evening along with 3+ worship services per week. This program instills a life-long habit of daily reaching for a Bible instead of a bottle!
LABOR OF THE FIELD offers a church environment where the families of the men in recovery can join in open worship and benefit from the well-rounded approach. In fact, each Sunday after worship service, the families can stay, have a meal on us, and fellowship with their men. Spiritual guidance and counseling is available during this time if requested. Our mission is healing and salvation for the whole family.
